Q&A with Caterina- Why I love working with hair

It’s about the people

I’ve always been a people’s person, and now I get to build incredible relationships with my clients every single day. It’s true – your hairdresser cam also double as an unofficial therapist, and it’s great to be doing what I love while meeting such incredible people. Working alongside other incredible stylists and key professionals in the hair industry has given me some memorable experiences and great memories. I love taking inspiration from those around me, and I’ve been so blessed to work with the absolute best!

Creativity is key

Whether in the Heading Out salon, backstage or for a photo shoot, I’m given the opportunity to be creative, experimental and design something that is truly unique. The best part is seeing how my work can make someone so very happy and confident. It’s a great pleasure to put my skills to the test, and I do love a good hair challenge. I’ve definitely learned that no one-day is ever the same – and I love that!

All the amazing products

Us hairdressers need only the very best product to deliver the best service possible – which is why I enjoy working with all the incredible products we stock out Heading Out. From the brilliant Denman brushes, to the beautiful Showpony Hair Extensions and the styling, care and colour products from Schwarzkopf Professional, Oribe and Kerastase – they all make my job as a hairdresser so absolutely exciting and affluent. Armed with all the right tools, I’m ready to take on any style, cut or colour requested.

Share, learn and teach

The best gift of all is being able to share my tips, knowledge and experience with keen, up-and-coming hairdressers at Heading Out Education. With the evolution of hair, those working in the industry must be able to keep up, which is why we offer classes to those already experienced hairdressers wanting to expand their calibre. It’s an honour to be considered as a mentor to a lot of my students and I believe you can never stop learning. Everyday I step behind the chair I’m ready to have an open mind to any new experiences.
