Caterina Di Biase


Caterina Di Biase has been an integral part of Australian hairdressing for over 20 years. Her vision and dedication to her craft has seen her rewarded with a string of accolades both in Australia and overseas. Caterina has been Awarded Australian Hairdresser of the Year three times throughout her career.

Caterina is Hair Director for L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (2008 to 2013) and regularly tours internationally and throughout Australia on behalf of L’Oréal Professionnel motivating, inspiring and educating hairdressers of all levels. She is also an international judge for the prestigious L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards in France, New Zealand, Taiwan, Malaysia and India. Caterina is one of three L'Oreal Professionnel Ambassadors in Australia.

Grace Romanin

Director of Studies

Grace has been with Heading Out for 25 years as a senior stylist, salon manager and senior trainer for the Academy. A favourite with apprentices, Grace has a great way of making everyone feel relaxed and eager to learn.

Aiden has over 16 years of experience and specialises in session work, ladies dressing of hair, men’s grooming and hair extensions. Aiden is also a Educator for Showpony hair extensions where he routinely teaches in salons the art of hair extensions.

Aiden has also given several seminar’s at Hair Expo, Salon Melbourne, Open Mic Nights.

An exceptional talent, Aiden is the Men’s Photographic HBIA 2013 and 2014 Winner and a Runner Up out of 553 entries from 33 countries in the prestigious AIPP Awards 2013-2014 in the Best Men’s category! He is also the proud recipient of the ‘Gold Key’ for session styling for Kevin Murphy.”

Aiden is a member of Heading Out’s award winning art team which were finalists in this years AHFA Artistic Team of the Year 2016 and he was also a finalist for AHFA Men’s Hairdresser of the Year 2016.



Short Course Education Coordinator

William comes to us from Scotland with 13 years of masterful industry experience. Throughout his career William has delivered education alongside some of the most influential names in the industry, including Vidal Sassoon’s International Creative Director Mark Hayes.

William’s career has seen him working in powerhouse salons across Europe, and becoming a leading educator at the world renowned Vidal Sassoon Academy in London. As an educator William has led daily demonstrations and lectures, launched directional academy collections, and produced haircuts for Salon International.

William’s foundation of mastered hair design is to create suitability, and he specialises in creating manageable and personalised hair through expert techniques. William explores the influence of trends and is the master of customising them to complement each client.
